L\u20191% di questo materiale \u00e8 formato da frammenti sufficientemente grandi da poter essere studiati. Sull\u2019origine delle meteoriti vi sono diverse teorie. Secondo alcuni questi corpi, che sono rimasti pi\u00f9 o meno invariati sin dai tempi della nascita del sistema solare, si sarebbero formati per l\u2019unione di diverse particelle pi\u00f9 piccole; secondo altri la maggior parte delle meteoriti deriverebbe dalla disintegrazione di un corpo celeste gi\u00e0 formato (questa ultima ipotesi e\u2019 la pi\u00f9 attendibile).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Le meteoriti sono molto diverse per origine e provenienza. Notevole \u00e8 la velocit\u00e0 con cui una meteorite entra nell\u2019atmosfera; la maggior parte di esse diventa incandescente formando le cos\u00ec dette \u201cstelle cadenti\u201d o meteore, termine con il quale un tempo si indicavano genericamente i fenomeni che si verificavano nell\u2019atmosfera. Le meteoriti hanno quasi sempre forma tondeggiante, ma la forma finale \u00e8 determinata dagli effetti che essa subisce a causa dell\u2019attrito durante l\u2019attraversamento dell\u2019atmosfera. Esse vengono generalmente classificate, in: areoliti o sassosi o litoidi, sideroliti o sassosi-ferrosi, sideriti o ferrosi, acondriti (le pi\u00f9 rare). All\u2019Osservatorio sono presenti due tectiti, alcune areoliti (condriti ordinarie) e alcune sideriti.<\/p>\n<b>Tectiti:\n<\/b>formazione di vetro naturale che, in molti esemplari, mostra forme aerodinamiche causate dal passaggio nell\u2019atmosfera durante lo stato fuso. L\u2019origine non \u00e8 conosciuta, ma \u00e8 possibile che si tratti di gocce di silicati fusi fatte \u201cschizzare\u201d verso l\u2019alto da un impatto meteorico. Questi frammenti sono stati scoperti in alcune zone degli Stati Uniti, in Messico, in Costa d\u2019Avorio, in Boemia, in Indonesia, nelle Filippine, nella Cina meridionale, in Australia. In Boemia, nel bacino del fiume Moldava si trova un vero e proprio giacimento, e i frammenti trovati sono di colore verde; da qui il nome di \u201cmoldaviti\u201d per questo tipo di meteoriti.\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Condriti ordinarie:<\/b>\nle condriti devono il loro nome alla presenza di piccolissime sferule, le condrule o condri composti prevalentemente di crisotilo spesso a struttura fibroso-raggiata. Nelle condriti sono presenti composti di carbonio, idrogeno, ossigeno, azoto, zolfo. Esse sono rocce contenenti silicio, magnesio, ferro e alluminio e sono ulteriormente raggruppate in tre sottoclassi, indicate con le lettere H, L e LL, che indicano il contenuto di ferro. Le condriti H hanno il contenuto di ferro pi\u00f9 elevato, il 27% del peso totale e sono chiamate condriti olivine-bronziti . Le condriti L hanno un contenuto di ferro un po\u2019 pi\u00f9 basso, circa il 23% del peso. Le condriti LL sono composte di ferro per solo il 20% del peso totale.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Sideriti:<\/b>\nrappresentano il 9% delle meteoriti viste cadere e sono costituite da zone alterne di leghe di ferro-nichelio pi\u00f9 o meno ricche di nichelio. La suddivisione delle sideriti viene fatta in base al mescolamento della taenite, lega di ferro-nichelio con alto contenuto di nichelio e della camacite, lega con basso contenuto di nichelio. Le parti meno ricche di nichelio vengono corrose maggiormente di quelle pi\u00f9 ricche e si formano le cos\u00ecddette figure di Widmanstatten, delineate da bande a differente lucentezza che si intersecano ad angoli diversi secondo il taglio. Le ottaedriti sono molto comuni fra le sideriti e in esse le figure di Widmastatten sono ben visibili.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>DESCRIZIONE<\/b>:<br \/>Meteorite di tipo metallico, composto da kamacite e taenite (leghe di ferro e nichel); opportunamente levigato e\u00a0 attaccato con acido diluito, presenta le cosiddette figure di Widmanstatten, un fitto intreccio di kamacite e taenite, che\u00a0 testimonia un lento raffreddamento della durata di alcuni millenni.\u00a0 La crosta di fusione risulta nerastra e pi\u00f9 sottile.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>DESCRIZIONE<\/b>:<br \/>Meteorite di natura pietrosa, che presenta le condrule, cio\u00e8 formazioni globulari di circa 1 mm costituite da silicati (olivine,pirosseni); sono le meteoriti pi\u00f9 frequenti e sono i campioni pi\u00f9 primitivi del sistema solare.
